Former Senator Mike Gravel Invited to HRC/LOGO LGBTQ Presidential Forum
The Human Rights Campaign and LOGO Channel have reconsidered their position on allowing former Alaskan Senator Mike Gravel to participate in their televised Presidential forum on LGBTQ issues after a groundswell of response from the blogging community. In this announcement from HRC, we learn that Sen. Gravel is now welcome to join the debate and that the forum has been extended from an hour to 90 minutes to allow more time for all candidates.
Congratulations to the grassroots efforts from blogs such as Queerty.com and others for reporting on this topic and for turning around an exclusionary financial criterion for participation in shaping candidates' views of the LGBTQ community.
