Other Voices International Project Included in UNESCO Poetry Portal

I received notice from Roger Humes, Director of the Other Voices International Project, that the site has been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Poetry Directory. It can be found at the UNESCO site, under Journals and then under the United States. To visit the site directly, go to The Other Voices International Project.

A number of our fellow bloggers and kindred poets have contributed to this compilation of voices and poetry from around the world. Among them are Jody Kuchar, Erin Monahan, Paul Decelles, José Ferreira and Sam Piperato. In addition, there are eleven Spanish-language poets for whom I translated anthologies who contributed: Michael José Morales Arriola, Carlos Felipe Hurtado, -jm, Elena Cohen Imach, Francisco Azuela, Jeannette L. Clariond, Mario Meléndez, Delfina Acosta, Ricardo Daniel Piña, Teodoro Rubén Frejtman, and Gabriel Impaglione.

Congratulations to Roger Humes for his good work and persistence and to all of us who contributed to a worldwide choir of individual voices.
